All About Brows!
Are you interested in learning about how to upkeep your brows? Let me tell you all you need to know about maintenance and keeping them looking fresh.
Maintaining your brows can be as easy as getting a brow shaping wax with a cosmetic fill. With this type of appointment I measure, outline, and assess your brows. After waxing is done, witch hazel is used to help prevent breakouts. A cosmetic fill is done with either a pencil or powder. Pencils will give you more definition to the brows, whereas powder will give you a softer look. I will provide pointers on how to do it at home while filling the brow in. When the cosmetic part is done I will recommend products you can use to help with sparse areas on the brows or the products you can use at home to fill in your brows.
You can take it a step further from a cosmetic fill and do tinting to give you the look of fuller, darker brows. Tinting is done using a vegetable based dye mixed with a developer. We have two formulas of tint that we use in our salon and spa. The PPD free formula is better for clients that have more sparse areas on the brow. This formula lasts longer on the skin and hair. Regular brow tint is better for those who already have full brows but would like them to appear darker. The tint lasts about 5-6 weeks. To upkeep tinted brows you will want to keep them dry for at least 24 hours and use a serum to lock in color as well as help the hair grow.
Wanting that soap brow look? For all your fluffy brow wants you can get a lamination. Eyebrow lamination is good for those who want to tame unruly brows or want the look of fuller, thicker brows. Lamination is essentially a perm-like treatment for brow hairs that makes it easier to manipulate them into a desired shape. This process helps the hair stay in place and hold their shape. This service can be paired with tinting to provide that bushy brow look. Mornings can be easier than ever with this nakeup needed service.
